the project

With support from the Edward T. Cone Foundation, Edward Loewenstein's work will take the form of a publication due to be released in October 2013. The beautifully illustrated and well-written volume simultaneously captures the rich visual and material language within the residential buildings of architect Edward Loewenstein and tells the story of the cultural circumstances that shaped his designs. The catalog will aid the reader in visually and intellectually understanding how a designer changed the social condition of the community through his work and his actions. The book includes photographs by C. Timothy Barkley, essays by Patrick Lee Lucas, both supplemented by a wealth of historic photographs and drawings.
